Ancillary Task 2 – Radio Advert

This page is all about my second ancillary task. For this I chose to produce a Radio Advert for my film. Because I’ve made a silent film I thought it might seem strange that I’m making a radio advert but it was somthing that I hadnt tried before and I thought working with no pre-recorded diologue unlike most other film trailers would be an interesting thing to do.

As I have kept to the conventions of scripts and typed it in 12 point font it is easier to see if you click the fullscreen button in the bottom right hand corner of the document.

Radio Trailer Draft

This is the ROUGH draft for my radio trailer.

Although I planned to have my radio trailer with the voice of a man, following the conventions of most radio trailers, i decided that due to the change in gender within my film, i would like to try a female voice. After much consideration I decided that I would produce the trailer using a childs voice because I think it gives a very sinister feel to the trailer which would mean more people would talk about the trailer and remember it. Also I like the idea that the things that happen in my film are the type of things that children would notice but an adult wouldn’t so maybe the child in the trailer is almost a third character in the story.
